FAQ

How does pricing work?

Each Artist is an independent business with their own costs, so the Artists to determine their own rates and we keep track of those costs and the factors that affect them. We then add our 15% commission to calculate the total cost. All contracts  have a $50 processing fee which is added separately.

Here is an example of a typical contract breakdown:

$500.00  -   Artist Fee

$88.24.   -  Agency Fee

$50.00.   -  Contract Processing

$638.24. -   Total Cost

Do I have to book these artists through the agency?

The short answer -no.

Every Artist we work with has agreed to be represented by Luxe 40, but does not have an exclusive contract with us. We believe every Artist should retain the right to represent themselves when and if they so choose. If you want to book an Artist without the agency's help, you can reach out to the Artist directly -however, keep in mind that these Artists have specifically requested that we manage their booking inquires for them and there is no guarantee that they will respond to your direct inquiries.

As advocates for the Artist, you can discuss all of your inquires with us and trust that we are sharing your thoughts with them.

What is the difference between the Agency Fee and the Contracting Fee?

The Agency Fee is collected to pay the agency and the agent who is responsible for coordinating the booking. The Agent receives a 10% commission from the sale and the agency retains 5% to cover operational expenses.

The Contracting Fee covers the cost of processing our contracts, which can be a time consuming task and require legal counsel. We encourage companies to purchase multiple dates and bookings under one contract rather than writing multiple contracts to save the clients money.

Can I book an Artist in a different state or country?

In most cases, Artists will travel anywhere as long as their expenses are covered. We have contracted performances across the East Coast and outside of the USA, so we are comfortable with processing travel documentation and the logistical planning that goes into getting Artists and their teams to any destination.

What makes this agency different from other agencies?

From an economical perspective, we are able to save clients money and improve the quality of performances but ensuring Artists are paid in full while we only take 15% commission, which is relatively low by comparison in our industry.

Most agencies take their commissions from the Artist's pay -as Artists ourselves, we like to think it's best if Artists can retain all of their compensation. We really care about our Artists and we want to see them succeed. Part of that success is paying them their worth. So they set their rates and we only present them with bookings that can meet that standard.

What do I need in order to be represented by Luxe 40?

We recommend all Artists and musicians who want to be represented by Luxe 40 prepare a few very important items. Here is a checklist for anyone interesting in registering:

1. Press Photos (at least 5)

2. Promo Video (2-5 minutes long)

3. Prepare at least 60 minutes of music.

4. Setup a social media account.

5. Figure out your costs and set a price

Once an Artist or musician has gotten these items together, we encourage them to register with our agency, which you can do now if you like.
